The TMX Finance® Family of Companies is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join the team and support the organization’s efforts in better analyzing Marketing performance from both a planning and execution perspective. You will be responsible for identifying business challenges, leading predictive campaign initiatives, analyzing and visualizing robust data sets, and leveraging opportunities for improvement. As the ideal candidate, you will develop and utilize analysis based on mining available consumer, collateral, and transaction information and data to provide strategic and tactical recommendations, mostly specific to marketing performance and predicative optimization. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Mine consumer lead and loan data across multiple data environments utilizing tools such as SQL, SAS, R, or other comparable data mining tools.

Partner with internal team of marketing experts and predictive modelers to develop advertising channel performance analysis, profitability and movement trackers, analytical models to analyze inbound marketing efforts, lead conversion metrics, and credit performance of borrowers (payment delinquency, default patterns, profitability), and design implementation strategies and reporting programs for these efforts.

Champion change improvements in marketing spend, martech implementation, and marketing performance by connecting drivers of future marketing, technology, and consumer credit trends to consumer demographics and historical behavior based on consumer, collateral, and loan data, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis before recommending ways to improve outcomes.

Perform medium, consumer, product, or other segment level data to analyze performance of existing products and assist with roll-out of new initiatives and strategies for various product & service offerings.

Implement performance analysis, predictive models, and innovative strategies between various environments including ad serving networks, reporting platforms, and data warehouses. Work with internal IT and Data resources, as well as external vendor resources to test and deploy new implementations.

Support direct-to-consumer and online/digital marketing efforts for select products by identifying the best and most responsive target audience while considering the consumer and collateral risk profile.

Collaborate with other departments across the organization to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering)
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry in Marketing Analysis, Modeling, Finance, or other analytics fields
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with a wide range of marketing strategies, avenues, and platforms used to support efforts including but not limited to direct mail, marketing automation, attribution models, predictive marketing, geotargeted advertising, omnichannel technology stacks, inbound marketing, location analytics, performance analytics, and direct marketing.
  • Familiarity with different attribution models, including data-driven attribution, and ability to report on actionable items garnished from these models.
  • Hands-on experience in data manipulation, data mining, statistics, web analytics, performance analytics, marketing analytics, and descriptive analytics.
  • Experience with Google’s Suite of products, including Analytics 360, Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Tag Manager, Optimize and Data Studio.
  • Familiarity with sending data via Google Measurement Protocol.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, independent but collaborative, organized, proactive, highly responsive, and extremely flexible
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
  • Experience visualizing data, presenting analytics, and recommending actionable insights based on findings.
  • Possess an understanding of system integration aspects amongst various platforms amongst a wide array of avenues and mediums.
  • Fluency in 2 of the following: SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
  • Fluency with tools: Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, Big Query, Relational Databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced Excel user with ability to create pivot tables, macros, and effective formulas
  • Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the store, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
