Job Description


The TMX Finance ® Family of Companies is looking for a UX Designer to join our dynamic team and work to optimize the Company’s current and new products in a way that represents our best-in-class service.

The TMX team recently launched a new mobile platform and has a roadmap for the future rich with new features. We are looking for someone that wants to be part of that future growth and an integral part of this wildly successful platform.

Competitor and customer analysis will drive your planning and development strategy, and a hands-on approach to testing and content design will ensure success.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.

Investigate and gather requirements directly from users and stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and other forums.

Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.

Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.

Create and build mockups, storyboards, wireframes, comps and interactive prototypes for solutions and apps used on web and mobile design.

Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3-5+ years of UX work
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills with the ability to successfully lead projects
  • A self-motivated personality, with the ability to set your own goals, work towards them, and pace yourself
  • Ability to think critically, and problem-solve creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UX trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience working with agile development processes and designing for mobile/tablet applications, including iOS and Android
  • A solid grasp of design tools such as Sketch, Balsamiq, OmniGraffle and Axure
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ability to collaborate with developers on design implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience producing original graphic assets such as icons, buttons, banners, etc., including marketing and other promotional assets.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of Bootstrap, Vue.js, Node.js or similar JS / CSS frameworks.
  • Degree in design, interaction design, or related preferred
