As Director of Finance, you will serve as a key member of the corporate financial leadership team and act as liaison between executive management and the Finance Team. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will maintain existing financial and operational reporting, perform various financial analyses, and collaborate with internal departments regarding planning and forecasting activities. Serving as the subject matter expert for analyzing financial models that enable the delivery of insightful and valuable analysis, coupled with being a sound business partner, would make you an invaluable leader within the organization.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Work with executive leadership to include the President and/or CEO to be a strong business advisor and develop intermediate and long-term strategies providing associated deliverables internally.

Obtain an in-depth understanding of the current financing agreements and the various obligations by which the Company must abide.

Analyze financial models and perform analytics to provide feedback and support to Operations and Finance.

Conduct ROI/Potential Yield analysis on new products, programs and initiatives to support Operations and Corporate.

Assist with the development and maintenance of complex pricing models to support short term and long range strategic goals and operating budgets.

Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.

Perform strategic and scenario analysis to determine present and future financial performance.

Review analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data to forecast operating results.

Conduct comparable analysis as necessary in support of key business metrics and objectives.

Provide support to key stakeholders across the organization as needed and assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related field is required from a accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of experience in financial modeling, planning, budgeting, business analysis and/or accounting activities
  • Proficient in Financial modeling
  • Experience in business analysis, FP&A, business & product integration, analytics in a corporate (HQ) environment
  • Excellent MS Office skills, specifically MS Word and MS Excel; experience with Great Plains, Tableau, R, Python, Cognos,and SAS a plus
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
  • Ability to switch from complex to routine tasks when required
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills and take on special projects
  • Experience using Hyperion Financial Management, Cognos Financial Performance Management Software, MDX-Solutions or other reporting tools in a large corporate environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL, SmartView, Hyperion or Essbase is preferred, but not required
  • Operational experience in Financial Services industry or Multi-Unit Retail
  • MBA, CFA
