TMX Finance® Family of Companies is seeking a Director of Procurement and Spend Management (or there is flexibility to staff at the VP level as well based on experience) to join the team in 2019! We are looking for a strong background in accounting to develop the procure to pay strategies which meet budgetary and other operational requirements of the Company. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will become a key contributor to the organization by effectively managing requests from suppliers and vendors and maintaining consistency with the process that keep costs within budget and in adherence with executed contracts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Direct the procurement to pay functions and operations to ensure that the company and staff adhere to a particular purchasing strategy and controls.

Design and maintain processes and policies to ensure efficient/effective contract management, measurement, tracking and reporting of contracts from the initial request through completion of the project and payment.

Seek opportunities for growth and cost savings using strategic partnerships to ensure continuity of business.

Establish a centralized vendor management and purchasing strategy identifying and measuring KPIs.

Interact with stakeholders to develop, engage and lead supplier relationships in order to extract the greatest value in cost, security of supply, risk management, sustainability and innovation.

Manage the Vendor Management, Purchasing, Warehouse and Accounts Payable professionals.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience combined in business analytics, business process improvements, or procure to pay
  • Self-starter with ability to manage work in multiple areas and experienced in leading virtual, cross-functional, globally dispersed team
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Accounting, Purchasing, and warehouse systems
  • Contract Negotiations and Vendor Management

Bonus Qualifications 

  • MBA or advanced degree, CPA a plus
  • Experience working for a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is a plus
  • Great Plains, Doclink, ReqLogic
