TMX is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our corporate Finance team in Carrollton, TX. This role will be responsible for maintaining existing reporting, assisting management in the creation of specific financial analyses, and collaborating with other departments to provide robust reporting. Candidate will be expected to become a subject matter expert for specific departmental needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with corporate departments with regards to developing, streamlining and maintaining financial models and reporting processes mixed with some budgeting/forecasting responsibilities
  • Assist in the monthly financial review process
  • Work with large data sets to perform financial analysis
  • Prepare consistent and meaningful variance explanations by working with department managers and executives
  • Perform financial analysis that assists leadership in better understanding key financial drivers
  • Develop, implement and employ financial metrics
  • Generate innovative and dynamic ideas that actively contribute to a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Source data for new report processes and trend analysis

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related field is required
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial modeling, planning, budgeting, business analysis and/or accounting activities
  • Ability to build and maintain key business relationships with managers and executives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities and “manage-up”
  • Must be self-directed with strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Possess a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles and financial statements
  • Must be an expert Excel user and able to create pivot tables, macros and effective formulas
  • Must have hands on experience with manipulating and merging large data sets
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Standing, walking, sitting, repetitive, movements, and use of mechanical controls, such as keyboard, are frequently required
  • Experience with SQL is preferred, but not required
  • Experience in Multi-Unit Retail and/or Financial Services preferred, but not required
