Job Description

 

As a Human Resources Generalist, you would be part of a team that is vital to providing the highest level of support and partnership to the entire organization. Our HR Generalists serve as strategic business partners on a variety of HR-related matters, such as employee relations, best practices, performance management, and more. You would use your expertise in employment laws, conflict management, and your client-serving mindset to guide our team members to success in whatever project or task they aim to accomplish, ensuring the protection and support system needed for our business to grow and thrive. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

Assist team members and line managers with employee relations, interpreting and understanding the Company Employee Handbook, with separation and corrective action procedures and paperwork, and with onboarding and off-boarding, all the while ensuring required documents are collected, processed, and correctly input into the HR system. 

 

Manage the HR Complaint Hotline, including call-backs, escalation of calls to appropriate manager, investigations relating to calls and complaints, etc.

 

Partner with leadership company-wide and within HR to implement special projects, and administer specialty incentive programs and employee relations campaigns.

 

Create, read, and interpret reports for HR-related activities, including background checks, EEO reporting, and more. Also assist with other duties and projects as needed.

 

Serve as a subject matter expert for all administrative facets of human resources, to include, but not limited to unemployment, immigration, employee relations, employee hotline, background screenings, UltiPro navigation.

 

Assist and support field client groups in an employee relations and conflict resolution capacity

Provides support to HRMs and HRDs regarding departmental optimization and effectiveness.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree combined with experience in Human Resources
  • 0-3 years of experience in HR
  • Knowledge of commonly-used HR concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Intimate knowledge of State and Federal employment laws, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and FLSA Wage & Hour laws
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in investigative techniques and practices
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • PHR, SHRM-CP
  • UltiPro experience
