Remarketing and Logistics Specialist


Dallas, Texas


The TMX Finance® Family of Companies is looking for a Remarketing and Logistics Specialist to join the team and play a key role in the management of a strong, profitable, and efficient vehicle remarketing program. Your logistical knowledge and experience, coupled with your attention to detail and ability to identify gaps in process, will be your keys to success in ensuring the logistics of the vehicle remarketing program runs smoothly and cost-effectively, leading to an increase in return on the sale of assets.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Develop the multi-channel recovery and remarketing operations to stream-line fee structures, implement logistics solutions, and achieve the highest sale price on vehicles.


Oversee the recovery approval process, to include workflow, setting standards for recovery, collaborating with store operations managers, and monitoring trends to ensure maximum return on inventory.


Manage the vehicle inventory portfolio to maximize profitability, ensure timely disposal, and report on available vehicles.


Serve as initial point of contact for field operations questions or issues related to Remarketing efforts.

Continually seek to gain knowledge in resale channels in order to help develop a best-in-class vehicle remarketing program.


Develop policies, procedures, and solutions for issues relating to vehicle remarketing, including title issues, vehicle sales, and quote issues.


Identify and develop solutions and procedures for revenue and cost-savings opportunities.


Apply knowledge of state and federal requirements pertaining to the remarketing of recovered vehicles.


Monitor auction accounts and partner with store operations managers to ensure maximum increase of potential sales.


Coordinate negotiation efforts with auction personnel and potential buyers and work with auction personnel to ensure optimal results.


Assist with the development and production of KPIs reporting to ensure alignment, and measure progress accordingly.


Seek to achieve and surpass identified KPIs to demonstrate implemented efficiencies, effectiveness of the remarketing program, and positive sales data compared to industry benchmarks.


Complete additional projects and/or duties as requested or required.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience with vehicle remarketing and/or vehicle inventory control
  • Experience in analyzing, developing, and implementing policies, procedures, and new strategies
  • Strong knowledge of auction operations
  • Solid understanding of the vehicle remarketing industry and remarketing program operations
  • Strong written, verbal, and social communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Strong prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Effective organizational planning and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to negotiate, analyze, and understand financial and other data
  • Experience with use of a CRM (Customer Relationship management) tool
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
